The opportunity to stay at Ballinalacken is a gift.
From the front gate onwards is a memory in the making.
The ambience is wonderful - the building, decor, furnishings through to the gardens.
The bedroom was a treasure - quality throughout.
The castle tour is a phenomenal opportunity - the icing on the cake so to speak.

Beautiful building, gorgeous property, large room that was very comfortable. I was extremely pleased with my decision to stay at Aran View Country House, and was especially pleased considering that I booked the room just the night before.

We had a really nice stay with very kind and helpful hosts. The breakfast was amazing. Not typical Irish, but the best during our whole journey. Our room had a direct view to the ocean and the cliffs. It was absolutely clean.

A very charming village. The people were very friendly.
A very charming village. The people were very friendly. Great pubs and live music (McGann's & McDermott's were the ones we visited). There is a spectacular view of the Cliffs of Moher from the parking lot of the ferry dock; our landlord recommended we go at sunset, and it was amazing! It happened to be high tide and the roaring waves made the scene even more astounding. Of course, the Cliffs are just down the road, and they are one of the best sights in Ireland.

Great music, fun and food.
Great music, fun and food. Excellent quality food in all pubs and hotels. You can walk between pubs but lack of street lights can make this dangerous at night...maybe there could be a store of hivis vests that could be swapped between pubs for those walking.

Got a true feel for this countryside / seaside community.
Got a true feel for this countryside / seaside community. Loved the pubs. Took the scenic cliff side walk to Cliffs of Moher which was spectacular but super muddy. Amazing and majestic. Bus back to town could have been more on time and available.

Doolin is a cute little town and is a great place to stay for close proximity to the Cliffs of Moher. There isn't much to do in Doolin, so I recommend staying there only to spend the night after visiting the Cliffs that afternoon or before visiting the Cliffs the next morning.

Plenty of restaurants and lovely craft shops.
Plenty of restaurants and lovely craft shops. Good atmosphere and traditional Irish music available in the evenings.
Beside the sea and a ferry can take you to see the Aran Islands and the cliffs of Moher.
The owners were wonderful hosts and the property was an easy walk for us to the shops and restaurants in Doolin. The property seems new and the room was clean and well designed. It was a comfortable place to stay. It was a room only and did not provide access to other parts of the property, which was fine with us. This is a convenient place to stay if visiting the Cliffs of Moher. We took the bus (bus stop nearby) to Liscannor and then walked the cliff path all the way back to Doolin, about 12 miles.
This property is affiliated with the hotel across the street where you check in. The staff was very friendly and helped by calling to two local pubs to confirm if they had a fiddler playing in the evening (McDermotts did). The Guesthouse is a cozy 6 room building with views of countryside. The breakfast was very good (staff also very pleasant) and there was an Italian restaurant on premises at the hotel with brick oven pizza. Very nice spot in the heart of trad music.
We loved literally everything about this property!! It is situated by the ocean, within view of the Cliffs of Moher, and close enough to walk into town for dinner, shopping, etc. Doolin Pier & ferry is right around the corner, perfect for trips to the Aran Islands. Our host, Eileen, was friendly and welcoming, our room was spacious, and the common areas (of which there were a few) were homey and comfortable. Before we’d checked out, we agreed we will be back!
We stayed in Doolin as we have in the past. It’s a small town with convenient access to the Cliffs of Moher and about a 50 min drive to Galway. The accommodations were good. Clean and comfortable with Wi-Fi. The owner was very responsive via text. There was tea/coffee set up in the room. Breakfast in town was easy. There is a Michelin star restaurant in town named Oar, which was excellent! The owner is very responsive via text.
Warm cosy friendly beautiful decor ,restful , breakfast was gorgeous, huge and freshly cooked the smoothie was yummy and the brown bread was so nice I brought home a loaf .be sure to eat in the restaurant also the monkfish with samphire was delicious, this small but perfect hotel is in the best location just up from Doolin village and the Burren/ Moher walk is on its doorstep , definitely my choice when I come back
The property is very well situated in Doolin almost right across the street from the bus stop (helpful if you are hiking Cliffs of Moher). The rooms are nice sized with a bathtub, air conditioning and various bed sizes. Another staple is their onsite restaurants, of which we only ate at Russell’s Seafood Bar (sensational food!) and their breakfast that’s in the room rate (also brilliant!).
Very nice hotel room, super comfortable, and very clean. lovely staff for when we checked in. Room provided a kettle, mugs, tea, coffee, and little bottle of milk for our morning tea and coffee which was perfect. Within a short driving distance to the Cliffs of Moher. The town of Doolin had some nice pubs with friendly locals and great live music. Definitely worth a stay
Can’t say enough good things about this place… Fantastic staff, truly friendly, not “service, friendly”… Daniella at the front desk and Eddie in the restaurant especially… Speaking of the restaurant it is FANTASTIC !.. needed a place to stay lucky I found it would stay again… It’s great! if you’re anywhere near Doolin or cliffs of Moher this is a place to stay !!
We really enjoyed our stay at Fiddle + Bow. Convenient location for the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands and Ailwee Caves. Russells restaurant and the Fish & Chips shop were both great! The hotel has lots of little details that make it well worth staying. I highly recommend staying here if you're coming to Doolin or looking to explore the West Coast of Ireland.
The rooms were lovely, very clean, airy, bright and modern. The facilities in the BnB are top-class. The location is ideal being in the centre of the village of Doolin. Both our hosts were most welcoming, friendly and informative as regards things to do and places to eat. The breakfast was outstanding - high quality, innovative and tasty.
Nice variety of bars, cafes, restaurants and outdoor spaces on site. Live music outdoors was a bonus. Modern hotel and clean room. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, and never seemed stressed despite how busy it was. Food was good, and location is close to other bars of Doolin. Plenty of parking available.
The ladies at the front desk were so very accommodating and very friendly.
The food in the hotel’s restaurant was unbelievable delicious. Our waiter had recommended a couple of his favorite dishes. We were blown away as to how good the food was. Thank you for a great experience.
Fantastic facilities. perfect location, adjacent to Doolin Hotel where we were attending a wedding. very comfortable beds & spotlessly clean. loads of room & we will definitely revisit Doolin Village lodges again.
The location is a good bit further from Doolin than we had expected but the hotel is in a beautiful location and the view from our room was exceptional. The restaurant is superb, worth a visit on it's own.
Overall decor was very nice. Grounds around the hotel were beautiful especially the castle. Service was excellent as was the restaurant on the property. Rooms were well appointed and clean/comfortable.
