I received very clear instructions about arrival and place. It is a very unique place - the interior of the apartments reminds me of warm countries, and the entrance is like from a sort of fairy tale in the kingdom of clocks. Had cozy time with a pot of tea watching the sunset from the window, and for some reason, I felt like it was 1960 and I'd live in Cuba or something like that - maybe the wall paper with pictures of parrots made an impact. Located in Tērvete in the Zemgale region, next to Tērvete National Park, Pālena apartamenti features a garden. Very nice accommodation in an old historic manor house surrounded by a beautiful flower garden. Local people also live there. So we had the opportunity to enjoy authentic village life, while the apartments had all the modern comforts. It was also a very quiet place. We had booked two apartments for four adults and two children. The bigger apartment has a view and an exit to a large park, where the children had enough space to play and run. The smaller apartment is also nice and comes with a small sitting area in the back garden. Nearby is the excellent Tervete children's park, castle hill and lake, and a horse breeding farm. The hostess was very helpful and told us about the fascinating history of the manor and the village. I definitely recommend this place and Tervete village, there are many exciting activities for both children and adults.

The hosts even left us some bottled water and sweets, which was a very nice gesture! The apartment was very clean and bright and very close to the centre, so it was easy to get everywhere we needed.
