Kingsgate Hotel Paihia offers a memorable waterfront location, just 100 metres from Paihia wharf. The hotel offers views across the Bays brilliant blue sea and out to Russell. This is great stay specially with kids. It's got a games room and two swimming pools overlooking the front beach. The Restaurants, shops and peer is with in walking distance. A big up for housekeeping and the beds are a bliss to sleep on. I love the fact that our room has a communal basin (kitchen and bathroom Basin) outside the bathroom and that the toilette is separate from our bathroom which incl a shower and a bath. Reception and night staff is always available and very helpful will surely visit again when exploring the Bay of Islands.

Offering free WiFi, a salt water outdoor pool and a restaurant, Quality Hotel Oceans Tutukaka is located in Tutukaka. Guests can unwind with a drink at the bar. The property offers free parking. The room was fantastic, huge bathroom, huge room. We had a balcony overlooking the marina, which was lit up at night and so relaxing. The TV had netflix on it and the tea/coffee was fully stocked. The hotel provided additional pillows at no extra cost. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant downstairs was delicious!

Just 2 minutes’ drive from Whangarei Airport, Comfort Hotel Flames Whangarei features a swimming pool, tropical gardens and a restaurant. Most rooms have harbour views. Guests enjoy free WiFi. Excellent service. Ambience perfect for my travel needs...holiday mode. Pool was great...a few leaves and twigs in the pool but it didnt faze us. Shops next door and the bottle shop was handy:) Excellent all round.

A pretty, traditional lodge in a lovely rural setting with beautiful beaches nearby. The lodge has a pretty garden and even a pool that we only noticed the last morning. Host Dave was very nice and helpful, prompt in all communication and we felt welcome. Breakfast was very good and my gluten-free diet was noted, which I really appreciate as that isn’t nearly always clear. Our room was very spacious, had french doors and a view to a medow. Closeby Whangarei is a nice little town for a stroll, the interesting Hundertwasser gallery and even a visit to a waterfall.
